You did the right thing, IMO.
I would guess that you're in the top 1% of any N. American today.
enjoy the life, don't look back. Keep your options open, funny how stuff shows up in your lap when you're not looking.
To answer your question, a $100K/year that adjusts to inflation is suffice, again IMO.
