i suppose Porsche wanted to puctuate the point that the 911SC is the standard for all other P-cars to try to meet. Either that or the marketing guys were pissed about the low 928 sales numbers and want to try to marginalize and kill the 911. - didn't work. . until the 928 got rear wheel steering and 6 speeds backwards.
Aside: nice form S-in-SLO. . .no substance though. heh heh
