ha ha this brings back memories. I did exactly that in Montreal when I was 23. There was a car dealership I wanted to work at. I just showed up every monday & friday, saying I was ready to go. By the third visit I was bringing coffee and having chats with the owner, building a rapport. The second friday he told me to pack a lunch for monday.
Looking back, it's almost funny that I got so worked up lobbying for a job I wouldn't even consider doing now, but man it was great experience. I had a great year there, and still visit when I go up to Montreal.
