I agree that driving style and maintenance are very important. I purchased my car from the original owner who is a personal friend of mine. We sat down and went over every repair/maintenance receipt (all from reputable shops) before the purchase. The car has never seen the paint booth, no RMS issue, nor has it ever been red lined. Since purchasing the car I have continued with the maintenance via a reputable shop and while I drive a bit more spirited than my friend, the car has yet to be tracked or red lines. So, I like to think I take very good care of my cars...sometimes some things are out of our hands.
