I have a 6.5t in my truck, only ~140k though. Lots of info about the 'issues' of the 6.5. PMD, heads crack.... There are fixes though, so dont worry about it. It's cheap to work on, unless it needs a new injection pump.
Not a lot of power though, especially compared to a Cummins. If it were me I'd get a small block in a burb. You know they last forever and if it craps out long blocks are dirt cheap.
