I really like the 964 chassis.
Perhaps I should keep the 6 spd, sell my 87 and buy a 964 I can put the 6 spd into.
Thanks guys.

You need to think long and hard about what you want and what you want to do w/ the car.

each chassis has unique featutrres that wil be desireable to some. Theo wanted the lok of an early racecar but the guts of a modern racecar. He could have saved a lot of money by starting w/ a 964 and just backdating the body.

If you are truly in love w/ your '87(but don't want to race) re-gear, re-engine, re-brake, re-suspend, re-wheel, re-tire etc. to your hearts content. A 3.6 w/ regeard early g50 5 spd, 930 brakes and decent suspension and tires is a blast

If you have to have a 6 spd 964 or 993 is the best place to start. If you want it all, a 993 is the best place to start, even the base ones came w/ mostly better parts than even a 964

Some like Denis like the challange as much as the final product, but to pay some one else to do it is going to be cost prohibitive.
