I was a bit surprised as well, but the frames will have to be chemically stripped, cleaned, some minor oxidation repaired and then plated so it seems reasonable. Another local anodizer quoted me $400 but I would have to strip the paint myself and they couldn't repair any of the pits. The parts I saw that had just been coated looked fantastic so I'm willing to pay a little more for someone with experience. I'm already saving thousands on my paint anyway so what the hell.
