Okay, whatever. It is juvenile but not shocking.

The kicker is that I am still receiving nasty emails. Except now I am being called a coward and pussy for apologizing and refusing to fight "like a man". Much like mule's new tag line ("Making (grown) babies cry & silverbacks howl since 2008"), it appears the intention is to taunt and provoke me into continuing the conflict. Fortunately, these all arrived at my personal email account and not my account at work - otherwise this would be more than the minor irritant it currently is.

So, of course, I immediately jumped to the obvious conclusions. But not so fast. The emails are not coming from Pelican. They are being sent directly thru my personal website (which gets routed to my AOL account). At first I was baffled because my website URL has not been in my signature for weeks. But then I realized my website is still listed in my Pelican PROFILE. It is sad because my website is devoted to articles and pics about fellow Pelican members, their cars and restoration projects. So it never occurred to me that I should hide my website from the Pelican community.

So there ya go. Since this is happening outside of the Pelican system, I doubt there is anything the mods can do. And to be fair, there is no evidence it is coming from a Pelican member. It could just as easily be some 12 year old in Thailand who can't get laid and spends his time causing trouble on other people's websites. That ***** happens, friends. We sometimes forget that everything we say here is openly distributed world wide. And trolls come in all shapes and sizes and they aren't exactly in short supply. It could easily be a lurker who can't send messages via Pelican.

So what will I do? I can ratchet up my spam filters. Beyond that there is nothing. And frankly, I'm not even angry - just frustrated and fed up with PPOT.
