Yes, but that's not the whole story. The Bull Terrier was bred originally for fighting, but since has been bred for appearance. They are expensive dogs. The dogs that are typically used for fighting are not Bull Terriers, but Pit Bulls. Different breed. None the less, all Terriers have the "killer instinct". Rest assured, a West Highland Terrier may look like a froo-froo dog, but they can be quite fierce. A Westy would have the same determination despite pain that the Bull Terrier pictured obviously had. Here's a Yorkshire Terrier belonging to a relative. It didn't like our Bouviere Des Flandres.
