To cut to it, in America, there are a couple distinct cultures often referred to in terms of black and white. These are
cultural distinctions. (certainly there are asshats out there who see just skin color, but that is a different subject) Certainly if an American man with black skin adopts white culture he will get crap from the black culture for being "uncle tom..."
so now we have the wusses who have to cry foul if any speak of being white. . . what it is ....surely it can be couched as racist if it's "white".
