If it has individual coil packs on each plug, then a failure in a single coil pack would cause a misfire, rather than a difficulty in starting. If a knock sensor was failing, it could cause the computer to slowly set the ignition timing farther and farther out until it just didn't work any more. That's just me spit-wadding, can anyone validate the theory?
