Oh, I'm sure it's been posted about before, maybe even had several different threads on the subject, but here are some pictures of Tom Sellecks old 1988 black over full champagne leather S4, 5 speed with only 40,000 miles on it at the time. These pictures are from when it was listed on Ebay from a dealer in Orange Co. CA about 5 years ago. I regretfully don't have any exterior pics, but let's just say it had NO ugly side moldings and chromed factory '88 dish wheels with painted center caps. But the interior, as you'll see in the pictures down below, really made the car!
I would have to go on record as saying Mr. Selleck definitely has some good taste when it comes to special ordering his 928's! Notice the special speaker covering they made for him to eliminate having to show off those ugly azz speaker covers, though factory champagne leather covered speaker covers would have been a nice touch as well.......
It sold to the only person who bid on it for $28K. I also noticed it never made it onto the Registry. I just wish I'd have taken note of the VIN # at the time so it could have made the list. A very notable example to say the least............
Anyway, if you've already seen these special pictures, please feel free to enjoy them again. If this is your first time, prepare for your right hand to have not been this sore since the first episode of Baywatch!
