Dream Come True

Since I was 10 years old (I'm a month shy of 20 now), my dream car has been the BMW M3. I have constantly thought about the time when I would be able to afford one of my own. Today, I came one step closer. It is still a ways off for me, but for now I can steal the keys from my dad when I am home from school. He had been driving the 924 daily but he has been looking passively for something new for almost 6 months. I went home for the weekend and convinced him to go look at a couple cars. Today he finally bit the bullet and picked up his new DD: a 2004 M3 Convertible.

Its carbon black (which looks black/dark blue/purple depending on the lighting) with black leather. We wanted grey leather, but this one was in better shape. It has 22,000 miles, CPO with free maintenance til Nov. 08 and warranty til Nov. 2010. Every option but nav (19 inch wheels, cold weather package, park assist, aluminum trim, harmon kardon sound, xenon headlights). He drove both smg and 6-speeds and didnt really have a preference, but this one happened to be SMG, which will work out well because he does do a fair amount of driving in heavy traffic. The car is virtually flawless, there isn't even curb rash under the front bumper, which almost every M3 seems to have because of the low stature. I am excited beyond words right now. Here are a few pics he snapped today, should have some more when he picks it up next week. Of course, now I have to wait an entire month until I go home for spring break so that I can drive it.
