Just wanted to share that I installed my short shift kit from Ebay seller 'Deutschepartsusa'. This SSK is the type that mounts on the trans, like the Schnell. The brand is Hamburg-Technic (
www.hamburgtechnic.com). I paid like $70 incl. shipping.
The kit didn't fit perfect though. i had to sand down the shaft that goes in the shift rod towards the lever and also the hole that slides over the gear selector shaft. On top of that I had to drill the dimple in the shaft in the correct spot, since the original one was off by 1/4".
Butttttttttt...It work perfect now! The shift throw is sharp and short, but not too short. I can't believe I waited this long to install one.
