Band logos should be easy to transfer to cheap fliers - monochromatic, and typography only would be a good place to start. If you want to include the playing card use the opposite side of the card. Just typing the band name is insufficient to really call it a logo. You can use a stock font as a starting place but you should at least make some changes to the characters. Another thing to consider is working on the basis that the logo needs to look proper on a kick drum skin. My 2 cents.
