This may not be of much help as I am in the same boat as you. I drove a 930 and now I am not sure if a 3.2 carrera (my initial choice) will suffice.
From your description, the car sounds pretty decent and 24K seems to be a good initial offer. Did the owner say why the front fender was repaired/wet-sanded?
I think asking prices on 930's seem to vary quite a bit with the seller's position. You may want to give the offer, dependent on a PPI. At least then you will know the seller's reaction before investing your money. BTW, what is the asking price?
