Disconnect throttle at pedal= 100% less hassle
I never removed the long metal skid plate in order to do the job, I just wiggled the plastic adjustment loose and pulled the whole cable through, it goes back in easy I swear.
I think it would be easier to re-attach it to the motor and slide it down the tube once the engine is in.
