I bought an F150 cheap from a guy who was convinced it had terminal (no pun intended) electrical problems. I bought it sitting in a shop bay. It had lots of stuff inside... several dollars worth of loose change, various tools, CDs, a loaded 22 cal clip, and a crack pipe. BTW, it cost <$100 to fix the truck.
I had a 1st generation Mazda RX7 in college that had a strange rolling/rattle sound in the back. Never could track it down. After a couple of years of ownership I was changing a tail light when and noticed there was a metal box of sorts around the hatchback locking mechanism. Something told me to stick my hands inside. I did and I pulled out a golf ball.
