When I was in college (and dirt poor), I bought a 1985 Toyota Celica. The car ran great, was in decent shape and came with something I will never forget.
I lived in Mass, and it was during a particularly cold week that I bought the car. The owner apologized for not cleaning it out, but it was just too cold.
Anyway, I get it to my parents house and start cleaning. When the car interior warmed up from the heater and being in a garage this smell starts to eminate...
Turns out that a frozen baby diaper had thawed and was stuck to the carpet. That and about 4 bags of fast food.....
After cleaning and deodarizing the car was great..
