I"m thinking BMW is selling through the inventory they have and will come out with a new revised R1200S more along the lines of the HP2Sport but without the pure sportbike power. I also think BMW will have a bike to replace the ST, but with the new, revised engine.
I also "think" BMW is going to let the HP2Sport live as long as it sells in numbers they are happy with. But I think their attention will be on the 190/190 bike for the next few years.
