I've always respected Clemens' accomplishments on the field, until recently
. I must take exception to the above however, and I liked Nolan Ryan. Ryan wasn't even the best pitcher of "his generation", much less better than one of the "best ever" imo. When Ryan was "on", granted he was virtually unhittable (hence all the no-hitters), but he'd still manage to walk 5-6 and still lose the game. Ryan just wasn't consistent over the course of his career imo...best fastball in my lifetime...yep! Best pitcher...not even close
