The nice folks in Arizona understand the illegal alien issue better than most.
The Mexicans crossing the border illegally do so to find jobs. Better jobs than are available to them in their home country.
If prospective employers risk losing their business license as well as substantial fines they will not hire these illegals.
Once the jobs go away, so do the illegals. No fence needed, no big Border Patrol presence.
I feel for the people suffering in their own country and understand why they cross the border.
I would do the same thing in their shoes.
However if we truly intend to control the "Illegal Alien" issue we simply penalize the folks hiring these "illegals". Just as is happening in Arizona today.
The people hiring illegals know exactly what they are doing and have made huge profits doing so while claiming ignorance of the origin of their workforce.
Ask me how I know.
