The way the infection can get to your eyes, is through the drains that empty into channels (canaliculi) that connect the eye with the nose. The channels drain into tear sacs (lacrimal sacs) that lie beside the nose. The sacs narrow into tear ducts (lacrimal ducts) that drain through the nasal bone into the nostrils. With a respiratory infection, it is extremely easy to get involvement of the mucous membranes and tear ducts of the eyes, being it is all connected inside the nasal passages and the cranial sinus chambers. It would also seem that a sinus infection could be the next system to get involved, if not already, playing a part of all these problems. Hopefully your Dr. will be able to determine what type of infection it is, and use the appropriate antibiotics to kill the evil bastards that are attacking your multi-system involvement. Good luck and do what the Dr. says to do, and get better soon. The kind of involvements that you are showing now, need immediate action taken. Again, hope all goes well with your needed treatment and a speedy recovery!! Tony.
