Hoyabear,one thing in favor of the 88 Turbo vs earlier years is it has a G50 trans I believe,
which offers hydraulic clutch mechanism ( very important for ease of shifting a powerful 911)
This is also one of the first years Turbo's were legally imported back stateside so you can be
confident in the dealership and authorized maintenance facility records.
Also the later 930 chassis with late trans offered 5spds over earlier 4spd offering(big plus!)
The prices on well cared for lower mileage cars have been resurging but with higher than average
you may have some wiggle room,these are almost always 2nd or even third cars.
Depending on exterior, interior condition and records which you believe to be complete as one
owner (significant plus) a good number to start is low 20's ,the market is stagnant during the
winter ,bad time to be selling ,and there could be better maintained cars appearance wise in
warmer climes..check ebay,thanks Bert
