well, reality can be a b*tch sometimes.
I've had a good run, but the $10K tranny rebuild was the end of the road budget-wise. I could have gone cheaper but it would have been lingering death. You can do the track pretty cheaply if you have some self-control and a willingness to "go halfway." I have neither
The other thing is that my son is 11, and he isn't getting any younger. The next 7 years are going to be critical so I need to be a parent first. I need to focus on those hobbies that I can do with him. At the track he is a bored spectator. In the surf, on a bicycle, shooting pictures and making movies, he's a participant.
I'll likely still be hanging around POC though and may still do some instructing. I have some video to cut, and want to do a few more. Hell, I can even afford to buy more gear if I'm not spending $1K+ each race weekend.
The other thing is that I really need to be working on my "art" (music, photos, writing). There's only so much time and money in the world. I'll get back on the track a few years down the road. After you guys get enough seat time to beat my class records
