Yes, I know about the magazine capacity limit. The only magazines my Dad had were the 10 capacity clips. It's also against the law in NY for any clips greater than 10.
NYPD will not go out of their way to help in this matter. In fact, most have been trying to discourage me from obtaining the gun. The one detective I've dealt with however, has been very helpful as of late but not at the beginning.
I think the easiest thing to do is find a FFL that will pick it up for me and send it to a local FFL in Contra Costa. I believe I've found a NY FFL to handle the job I just need to find a local guy to receive it.
