We all agreed that we would tone it down and just enjoy the races more than go balls out like before. My wife is cool with it and my oldest(4) is geeked at the idea.
You can get a great bike for $2k or less these days (early 2000's two stroke 250).
Leaning out over the gate as the revs come up on 40 bikes........oh man that's livin'

Agreed! (except for the part about toning it down a bit....second place is the first loser

)
When I quit, it was because I was occasionally missing work when I would get injured. I was just getting started in my adult life and my new boss was none too happy with my "playing on dirt bikes". I had rent to pay etc, so I gave it up and did a short stint racing go carts..... The class that was popular in my area was pretty boring after one or two races compared to MX, so I just quit. A few years later I started flying and while it is fun, it too seems boring compared to MX. I like skiing, but other than racing the "downhill", it also pales in comparison to MX.
