I'm building a new 2056 engine for my 74 2.0L and am planning to ad a/c. And before anyone starts about why I shouldn't, have you ever driven a car without a/c in 115ºF+ heat? Anyway, my question is, how does the original compressor mount? I know where and in which direction it goes, but is there a bracket or pad that it bolts to or does it bolt straight to the fan housing? I already have the pulley that goes under the fan but need to sort out mounting the new compressor. Also, what is the best compressor to use? I know that I want to use a rotary type like the Seiko-Seiki, but which model should I get? And if anyone has the bracket/pad or compressor I need and wants to sell it, drop me an e-mail.
