Wow yeah that is a tough car to put a price on. No offense, but it sure isn't going to win a beauty contest, although the parts list sure will.

For all but the dedicated track guy this is a parts car. With a full cage, no interior, fiberglass doors, and no insulation it would be a lot of work to get it back to a real street car. It is a hell of a car to swap parts off of and onto a different chassis. I’ll dream about doing this tonight.

I don’t think you are getting a lot of responses because not many track cars go up for sale on the pelican forums. Wonder why? ? ? Maybe you could get better comps on the PCA classifieds? I seem to recall track cars in the 30K price range. If I were trying to sell it that is probably where I would start, and see what developed.

If I were trying to buy it I would probably start at 17K and see what happened. I’d feel like a rotten thief if I only paid 17 for it. I am a street car guy though so I would value it differently than a track orientated person.

I don’t think with a full cage targa / non-targa really matters. Plus you have that killer fiber hard top. I have heard the same opinion about using a targa as a base for a track car, from a long time racer.

If I were buying the car I would want to know a little more about the engine. Track cars get driven pretty hard. So I would like to know how many miles were on it. What year it came out of. Any spigot problems (didn’t early 3.6’s have a leak problem down there?) When was it rebuilt, why was it rebuilt, and who did it, also how many miles since the rebuild. Is the trans still the original mag cased 915? Has the chassis ever been wrecked?

If I happen to win the lottery in the next couple of days I will give you a call.

I hope all my blabbering helped at least a little bit.

Good luck,
Rich
