The problem is that I only have one end. The other end would seem to be inside the wall behind the kitchen cabinets. Unfortunately there are two other outlets wired together with the island so they're not working either.
Update: Look like everything's ok. After sucking the water out of the conduit and a bit of time the GFI outlet is no longer tripping... and there was much rejoicing!
