You scared me Wayne. My 87 has been in similar condition, similar mileage and also was a garage queen for 12 years or so. I was baby it too, until lately. I've driven it more often. Once in a while, it backfire slightly at the exhaust tips, at certain RPM specially between 1st and 2nd gear. I thought this is because the borla exhaust. Should I open up my valve covers to inspect all the head studs?
