For Christmas, just got "Porsche, the Fine Art of the Sports Car", by Lucinda Lewis- great photography of many of the classics (718, 550, 911R, 908/30, etc.)
Also got "Porsche Racing Cars" by Bill Oursler, great photos and history of the factory's involvement in racing.
For driving technique, nothing beats "The Art & Science of Motor Racing" by Piero Taruffi. It was written in the '50's (make sure you use a good, cork helmet- a leather one just won't protect you enough!), but the physics hasn't changed, and I haven't seen anyone explain the concepts better.
Finally, the "Porsche 911 Red Book" is a great way to quickly, clearly learn the differences between the models.
