I got charge $140 for the provincial inspection and $280 for an import verification. As far as I know, nothing physical was done to the car. Just verifying that the VIN matches the said vehicle. I've done my federal (RIV) at Canadian Tire. I feel like I got taxed just because I bought the vehicle from the States.
