Oops, forgot to bump the pelican thread, as well as the rennlist one. Jim and I got the engine out, transmission separated, loaded in the truck, tools put away and garage cleaned up all in about 9 hours, and that included lunch and dinner breaks. Not bad for first timers!
I took the tranny to the car wash Sunday night (jesus, that sounds dirty

) and power-washed it down. 30 minutes and $15 later I was soaked head to toe! I drove home in my socks and boxers, very slowly so as not to get pulled over. What a sight that would've been!
So now I've got to crack her open and have a look-see inside, so the real fun is just beginning!
