How did I miss this thread? Musta been asleep at the wheel. Very, very nice there tabs. Is Bresien still alive? He must be getting on in years if he is. I remember way back before all this black powder stuff took off again, he was going to make some Stevens 44 1/2 actions or something. I'm not sure if he ever did. He was ahead of his time (along with Droege) in the resurrection of the black powder cartridge rifle. If either of them had waited a decade, they could have been rich... Both guy's personal work is already climbing in value. Bresien's front stuffers and Droege's "Farmingdale" Sharps.
So I'm assuming the .54 is a round ball barrel and the .45 a slug barrel. Very nice combination. I've always liked the underhammers as well. One of these days I'm going to order one of those Zephyrs out of Oregon and go hunting with it...
