Just a few years ago, you could pretty easily find E30 M3s for $6-7k in driver condition. They seem to be moving upwards fairly quickly, I now see similar cars for $10k or more. I think they're quickly being considered "classics".
Chuck, I think you're wise to keep the S14 and keep the car near to stock.
