for instance
2 coils, each 250 ohms, 2 parallel circuits @ 120 VAC
1 combined coil, at 500 ohms @240 vac
both would draw .48 amps , around 115 watt, give or take
do it the other way around, and you'de have
1 combined coil, 500 ohm @ 120 VAC .24 amp, 28.2 watt > low power
2 parallel coils, 250 ohm @ 240 VAC 0.96 amp 230.4 watt > meltdown
