Pluses: Great pay! Get to develop systems that use latest computer technology. Amazingly, get to meet a lot of guys that are also into sports cars (not all of them work on thir cars though). Also, all the free office supplies I could ever need (I work for an office supplies company).

Minuses: Looooonnnnngggg boring meetings sometimes. Deadlines that are created by users that think that systems are automagically created by flipping a switch.

On the side: A true 914 enthusiast. Learned how to drive stick on my cousins 75 914 back in 82'. Was destined to own one one day. Bought an Orange 75 1.8 about 7 years ago. Did the 5 lug conversion and every other mod possible. Now seriously considering a six conversion (very seriously).

Current delimna: Needed a car for growing family so agreed to let wife buy her minivan (yuk! - at least it's got a DVD player). Hey, it can come in handy for moving Porsche parts I guess. Anyway, she agreed that after the Honda is paid off, I can get my 911. Note for future reference: Make sure that wife acknowledges that YES a 911 is in fact a 4-seater and can accomodate two adults and two young kids (besides told her that son will inherit 914 and daughter will get 911 - or maybe the other way around). Anyway, (wait for this) currently making 1K minivan payments every month (not kidding). Here's the real delimna. Should I convert to a 914/6 first or pick up a 911 (which one too). I've always liked 911's but 914/6's (3.0 and 3.2's at least) are constantly on my mine. Drove in one once and still can't get over the handling and raw power of these conversions. Anyway, doing lot's of research on 911's and 911 engines for now. Anybody else ever make one of these deals with their wife?
