Are you making a capital gain on the sale of this car? If so, understating could get you in trouble with the IRS...Cindy & I did a LOT of thinking and talking on this one, since I was poor at keeping 34 years of records. We decided it was best to pay capital gains...better than having to worry about it for years to come.
