I have a non-S and its great. Tons of power. You could always use more but its fine with me as is. I do have a fully loaded non-S so I have sport Chrono and I must say that its not the most important thing in the world but it can't hurt.
If money isn't an option go for the S. Its a Cab so it I don't think you will be doing that much track with it? Still would be nice to have the 3.8.
