never did, kept hearing horror stories about the '99-'01 996 cars and got cold feet, a reputable mechanic near where I live told me a story about a 1999 customer car he bought and a month later the engine case cracked, had to replace motor, and $14K later, not sure I want to do that trade and peace of mind. . .difficult part is there are so many good experiences with them as well???
