Indeed. In ancient Hebrew times, the word for left-handed meant "evil" or "sinister."

The king didn't see it coming - why? When Ehud approached the king, the king didn't suspect anything - all (right handed) men would have strapped their sword to their left side, unlike Ehud. That Ehud was quite the sinister guy...
On a side note: it is a little known fact that at least one of the OT Moderators is left handed.
