Most people around here will tell you that the air filter is not the bottle neck on the CIS system...you could take the filter off and not see any improvement.
I believe Bruce Anderson addressed this in his book.
That being said, K&N air filters allow umpteen times more dirt and particles to get through and into your injection system.
CIS systems like clean fuel.
You take those two facts and what you get is a bad situation.
Especially for someone like me who lives in a virtual dust bowl.
I'd stick with the factory filter.
