spring plate bushing - swap left/right?

I took my spring plates out today. They are quite eccentric, though the rubber seems to be in decent condition. The spring plates look symmetric to me.

Has anyone ever tried just swapping the spring plates side-to-side? That way, the compressed (thin) part of the bushing ends up on the bottom, and the fat part ends up on top. Of course, after 5 to 10 years, the problem will return, but I'd have another 5 or 10 years with stock rubber pieces. I have the Neatrix replacements, but they are quite a bit harder than the stock bushings ...

I measured the bushings in several places, they are a pretty consistent 72 to 73mm diameter.

I don't track or autocross and could care less about "excessive" suspension deflections caused by "soft" stock bushings while driving ...
