I have had about 15-20 sets of original Cibie Pallas hood lights, 3 of the sets where NOS. These repros are 99,9% perfect. Every little bend in the metal, micro spot welds in the front of the bucket and especially the lens and reflector parts are amazing. Even the sticker in the bucket and the paint stamp on the back of the reflector are correct which made me think they where originals. The only thing I have found to be "wrong" is the rivet in the back of the bucket should be brass, and the color of the primer is slightly blue, the original was more grey or brown for the late Valeo production.
I have looked into making these in China a year ago, but gave up, they would have been to expensive. Rene has solved the problems I had by using several manufacturers for the different parts.
The guesstimates made on what the production cost for these are is way too low.
