You say the calipers have 28 & 30 mm pistons and are replacing calipers with 48mm pistons?
Don't Carrera's have 48's front and 42mm rear? This would have less piston area than the 42mm rears. I can't see how this is a good idea.
I picked up a pair with quad 28mm pistons and would only consider them for the rear. That is what yours and mine are originally for.
