Thanks! You can see what I started with and what I made it for maybe 1500 bucks. If you do get one I have a friend that restores them full time that qould give you a great deal on parts.
If the only thing that wrong with it is its an auto I'd snatch it up. The autos have vacuum servos that tend to shift slowly and sort of rough. You'd want the 5 speed out of a 320i and then you'd really love it. In fact my 02 was almost as much fun on the highway just buzzing around than in the mountains. Mine came back up for sale a few months ago and if didnt need a truck occasionally that would be my dd again.
