Actually the Bonnie and Thruxton are plenty cool around these parts. They just aren't really "performance" bikes out of the box. Plus Italian character is different than British character. Neither is better...just different. However from a performance standpoint my oh so cool Aprilia will in fact smoke a Thruxton on all counts. For roughly the same amount of money (assuming you do a mod or two to the Thruxton). I looked at a lightly used Thruxton that had at least $20K into it. Asking price was $9K. I think it is still for sale.
