to me it isn't about perfection, but the ability to remix and use samples in ways you could never do before.
"fixing it in post" takes on a new meaning. There now doesn't need to be a "pre".
Of course crap will still be crap. It doesn't create talent...just gives you a new tool and might enable some people to realize their vision or experiment and discover new ways to approach things.
