I would not get too excited about this just yet. I am posting primarily to alert racers that there MAY BE A PROBLEM, and hopefully they will pay close attention to the condition of these foam blocks, and, if warrented, very occasionally empty their fuel cells and have a look at the bladder.

We are certainly not chemists. It could be something as simple as the more recent foam blocks not being made as well; or perhaps only certain blocks reacting with the UNleaded additives; or the combination affecting the bladders; OR . . .

I am certain your new fuel cell is "Safe" (pun intended) for a few years, and if there is in fact a problem, someone will make a small fortune bottling an after-market additive - maybe some lead for our pump gas.
